As we remember September 11, 2001, the Mount Gilead Fire Department will sound the community emergency siren today, Friday, September 11, at six designated times in remembrance of the lives lost during the attacks.

The siren will sound at:

• 8:46 a.m.
• 9:03 a.m.
• 9:37 a.m.
• 9:59 a.m.
• 10:03 a.m.
• 10:28 a.m.

We invite our residents, businesses, and schools to pause for a moment of reflection as each siren sounds. Together, we honor the victims, first responders, survivors, and all those whose lives were forever changed on September 11, 2001.
