Due to the Winter Storm that’s coming. Montgomery County has declared a State of Emergency due to the anticipated winter storm and will be opening an emergency shelter.

Opens: 12:00 PM (Noon) on Saturday, January 24, 2026
Duration: Until further notice
Important Shelter Information & Guidelines:
– Bring food, formula, diapers, bottles, and supplies for infants and young children
– Bring food, leashes, supplies, and proof of rabies vaccination for pets; service animals are permitted. Pet accommodations may be limited, check updates before arriving
– Individuals with medical conditions should bring medications, medical supplies, and any necessary documentation
– Those who require oxygen or other powered medical equipment should bring needed equipment, supplies, and backup batteries if available
– Bring essential personal items, bedding, and chargers if possible
– No alcohol, illegal drugs, or weapons
– Follow instructions from shelter staff and emergency personnel and be respectful of others
